Born October 27, 1960 in Southern California, Lee Watters always had a love for music. From a young age listening to the radio he always wondered how records were made. In the early 1970′s he moved to Las Vegas with his family. Halfway through high school Lee started working at a local recording studio as a runner and after two years of assisting in the studio he learned enough to start engineering himself.

In the late 70′s, Lee started a home studio, proving where his talents really were, recording and mixing music. In 1979 he moved the studio out of his house and into a commercial building, Luxury Audio Workshop (L.A.W.), was born. Opening as an 8-track studio he discovered quickly that he needed to expand to meet his client’s needs. Early in 1981, L.A.W. Recording purchased their first 24-track analog tape machine and in just two years a second 24-track studio was added to the facility. Under the direction and management of Lee, in less than a year both rooms became 48-track studios and L.A.W. turned into a record making machine. He began engineering for some of the biggest names in the music business, building his name and reputation; he began flying to Los Angeles to engineer sessions for the chart topping musicians and singers that recorded in his studio. Lee has been awarded a number of gold and platinum records for his engineering skills over the years. In the late 1980′s after spending most of his time engineering sessions in Los Angeles and Hollywood, Lee decided to sell his studios in Las Vegas.

Moving back to California in 1988 he began his career as an independent recording engineer. In the mid 90′s, Lee turned his sights on film and television sound, becoming a re-recording mixer for animation, television and theatrical movies. He has been nominated a number of times for Golden Reel awards, one of the top achievements for television and film sound engineers. After working in post-production facilities and movie studios for many years. As a businessman, Lee started The Watters Group in 1999 after seeing a need for new media production services for small business. The Watters Group is a multimedia company specializing in new media, small business & corporate marketing, music recording, Internet Video, and podcasting. Today, Lee still engineers music sessions, and is President of The Watters Group.
